I’m roaming around my house today ranting to anyone I come across that Nazi Germany had better Nazis. We are definitely inferior to them. So stupid. Just as hateful and villainous, though. But nobody’s perfect.

You know, funny you bring that up...

I've made this argument that they are "Lazy Nazis" by comparison. lol. They don't want to put in the hard work of fascism.

Yeah, it seems they want a lot of stuff. But they don't necessarily know how to make them happen

I’ve deduced the origin of Trump’s disdain for Harvard: its slogan. Veritas is his kryptonite.

They’re not Nazis, I’m sorry to have to inform them. They’re simply mobsters.

What’s your reasoning that they aren’t Nazi’s, Marcia? Just curious.

Yeah, it’s bizarre that the same people who made it harder to prosecute on-campus rape and now looking for crime info on foreign students… maybe only ‘Merican frat boys commit rape? Also, I can’t help but wonder.. certainly there are billionaires and others in his orbit who send their kids to Harvard as foreign students on F1 visas? This isn’t going to hurt the people he thinks it will as badly as he intends, I don’t think… In any case this is a gross use of taxpayer resources. The karma train can’t get here soon enough.

Vertias?? Maybe I am being a dullard, but I didn’t know the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, either.

I have been so impressed by Harvard lately that I bought a Harvard t-shirt, and I have been wearing it (at the risk of coming off as snooty).

Not sure if you meant the japanese bombed pearl harbor not the germans,

No matter I agree on all of this, and I'm not surprised by their. Damn near illiterate capabilities.

Or maybe because they submit to this is so many legal lawsuits and other complaints Every day that they're in such a hurry, they don't have time to fact, check it or grammatically correct it.

The reference to the Germans bombing Pearl Harbour is from the movie Animal House, hence the pic of John Belushi immediately following it. 😜

Why does the letter refer only to "nonimmigrant" students? That's with a N-O-N. Sounds to me like the entire native born student body needs to hold a good, old-fashioned water balloon fight in Harvard Yard, toilet paper a tree, video the whole thing, and send the footage to that moron Kristi Noem with a note that says, "In response to your letter, here you go."

The term "nonimmigrant" is a term of art defined by statute. A nonimmigrant is a foreign national who is admitted to the United States for a temporary period of time rather than for permanent residence. In this case, the students are defined by the visa outline in her letter.

The letter seeks information from Harvard to make a case about malfeasance involving Harvard's foreign exchange students (basically so DHS can identify them) so that the Department of Homeland Security can notify that those students violated the terms and conditions of their visa and are thus subject to DRO, or perhaps more likely, issue administrative warrants for their arrest.

Harvard has no desire to participate in that process, and thus, has engaged in litigation against the Administration, demanding that they either serve the University correctly with administrative subpoenas, or alternatively, make the proper subpoenas for national security warrants (which would be considerably harder for DHS to obtain), or go pound sand.

Instead what the Trump Administation has done has had DHS threaten schools with losing their SEVP programs, had ED threaten their access to Title VII funding programs, had the DoD threaten colleges with access to the various GI and ROTC programs, etc.

None of that is lawful.

Well, Tim Snyder said it best on the Anthony davis weekend show. They're spreading terror and he defines terror as ignoring the integrity of humans..

Meaning grabbing these people off the street and throwing them into a Van.
