Great Idea William. Any thoughts on terms limits across the board in our government ? This may be naive , if elected officials would concentrate on keeping their words vs keeping their seat .

In general, I think we have term limits... they're called elections. (smirk)

One of the books we will read, Frances, is about gerrymandering. That's the problem in politics, not "term limits," per se. Congress and political parties have made districts that make meaningful choices about electoral outcomes meaningless.

We will discuss it in more detail when we get to the book... I won't spoil it. But it's gerrymandering that's the real issue, not term limits per se.

Problem with politics is that you have to promise something you might not be able to deliver.

But I believe politicians should never promise something their prospective future office cannot deliver. For example. A national mp/Congressional leader cannot deliver better bins or street cleaning.

So cool, I love reading any book, and I am always excited to add to my reading list. I keep it long because I read books above all entertainment.
